I have been using Dashclock to provide notifications on my lock screen as I felt KitKat didn't offer anything similar without unlocking my N5.

Snapdragon have just released Glance (beta) in the App store.

It seems pretty good, and with a few more additions should be able to replace Dashclock.

This is the main thing I feel is missing in KitKat.

Looks pretty cool but it states Battery Guru is required to be installed, for me BG didn't help so I uninstalled it. I like this though so I might give it another shot. Thanks for the info.

Didn't realise it needed Battery Guru. I have that installed also, and it seems to work for me fine.

latest update to BG required access to call logs, contacts, sms/mms read access so i did not update. made me suspicious enough to think about uninstalling BG
