Root Data issues

So on this phone I noticed I can never keep a steady data connection. Even on the admire i always had a data connection except when i sent sms messages, but it's like I won't be doing anything at all and for some reason I won't have any data connection. My wifi also takes a long time to actually connect. It'll say it's connected but when i try to access the play store for example within 5secs of my wifi being connected it says no connection. Any help with this?

That might be something you'd have to call metro pcs customer support for, I'm not sure anyone here can help with the data.
