Help data speed of international gsm note 2

Hello. I am new to this forum, I just had a question that I just can't find a straight answear for, I'm thinking of buying the n7100 gsm international version, but I read somewhere that it will not get 4g coverage with T-Mobile. I want to know if that's true since some people say it will and some that it won't. I've also read that 4g will work for it when T-Mobile rolls out the lte. Can somebody please help me with my situation, I don't want to make an expensive purchase on something I won't be able to fully take advantage of. Thanks. By the way I live in the los Angeles area in California
