Update: Data Throttle be gone for Bobzhome Newest Build

1st result: With removing Data Throttle in service.jar and removed /data/system/throttle

2nd result: nothing being done.

3rd result: only /data/system/throttle deleted.

This will also make Mobile Network disabled since service.jar has been edited. So before flashing please enable data roaming service.

Booting will take a bit. If so please be patient. It will work cause I used it on my phone after making the changes.

No it worked on kelsos rom to other roms. I used it before but never kepts it lol. I guess I'm going to have to wait until Friday to try and tweak the service.jar

It would help increase the data speed. 200 to speeds up to like 600 800.

Metro puts a data throttle on our phone to say how much data is transferred on download and upload speed. I noticed a difference when I flashed but never saved it lol.

I have a copy of the zip if anyone needs it. I go back and forth between CM7 and Kelso's stockish roms. I always find myself back with Kelso's. Stable and with an added launcher (ADW or GO or whatever the others are called lol) it is prob the most stable on both my 2 optimus'.

The ICS theme (governor removed) seemed to have a good effect on speed at one point but noticed problems after a couple times i installed it.

How to remove ICS theme from Kelso's Mod and bring back old status bar etc?

I'd like to get that also. I can just flash that ontop of CM7? Right on. I'm tired of waiting for downloads on WiFi, it takes forever.

Just tried it on both Reppards & PlayfulGods CM7....No go for me. I didn't try BACKsides ROM since it runs like crap on my phone (first generation OM). I did a straight flash, then a flash with Dalvik-Cache & Cache wiped but both got stuck at the LG screen. I let it sit for about 15 minutes with each flash before I hard reset my phone to recover my Nand backup. Mikekelso421 did say it would only work on stock, but maybe others will be successful on CM7.

Sorry guys, I forgot about this thread. I had the "ICS Theme with Governor removed", not sure if its the same thing tho... But since Im back to Kelso's rom, i don't like the ICS theme much so is this pretty much the same thing without the theme? Removable?

back when he made it he said it was only for stock based roms, you would have to change some files to make it work for CM7. Kelso also made a zip for HTC Evo4g on metropcs that works on cm7, im not sure if it would work for this phone tho?

Will this also work like the original on other rom's aswell, like stock rom's?
