Has anyone else had their phone "fry" their memory card randomly ?

I never touch the SD card so I know I haven't damaged it taking it out, it just stopped working and won't even show up on a card reader.

Thanks in advance for any advice

I had a SD card fry a short while after the Xmas OTA software update. HTC admitted that some phones/cards had a problem with that particular update and it was pulled. They eventually sent me a new SD card. Lots of people had the same problem.

Just wondering - you didn't just do the recent gingerbread/OTA system update just before this happened did you?

Thanks for your reply, that sounds familiar yes ! It's not the SD card I am bothered about, it's all the photos that are stuck on it that I want to get off :(

thanks, that won't work though as the card won't even register on a memory card reader so it's as if it is totally dead :(
