Took an advantage of this deal and T-Mobile will pay my ETF from Verizon. No more contracts for me.

They need more coverage area to get me to switch. No doubt they are less greedy than vzw and I like their image but reception is so so at best.

I'm on the T-Mobile $30 prepaid plan. I went to the T-Mobile site but apparently customers with the $30 plan are not eligible for this deal. Too bad...

Correct, prepaid plans require you to buy the phone outright rather than through their financing plan.

What are the requirements for this deal? Do I have to be on a certain plan?

To use the financing plan, you have to be on any of their postpaid plans. Prepaid plans will force you to buy full retail outright.

I bought mine Friday and paid cash.

I am on the prepaid plan too, I will never be tied down to another 2 year plan again.

Now, if only DISH would come up with a pre-paid no contract plan.
