    Dear Seidio,

Since Verizon has screwed the pooch, you guys have a golden opportunity to capitalize on their disdain for their own customers.

We desperately need a true 3-pin car dock, and we know if there's any company who can deliver, it's you guys.

I know you guys read the forums. Please come through for us. I will pre-order the second you have one available (and I'm sure 1000's of other Nexus owners will as well).

For reference - Proper Cardock for GSM Version of Galaxy NexusPictured [AKA, WTF Verizon?]

    With great hope,

    Gunner

P.S. I'm soooo tired of driving w/ my Nexus on my lap.

One that works with a surface case with extended battery please and I'll buy two. One for me and one for my wife.

Add me to that list. I would likely buy two as well.

Ditto! I'd love a dock where I didn't have to pull my phone out of the case, and utilized the 3 pin connector! One for each car, one one case for each of our phones! (Currently using Diztronics cases.)

Knowing that they read the forum, I will throw my support towards this. I currently am not using a Seidio case for my phone, but if Seidio offered a proper car dock that handled charging and audio through the 3-pin connector and fit a Seidio case, I would be compelled to buy both a case and car dock.

Much too far from the waves
Dont have a Galaxy Nexus but I dig the easy car dock app that automatically opens in my Razr dock. It makes things SIGNIFICANTLY easier and I cant live without it. so Im throwing my support toward Seidio.

Yes! A smart car dock is what I am waiting for. It would be cool if it worked with a Seidio case, but fitting only a naked phone would be fine too.

    Sign me up as well.

I had a Blackberry Tour with a Seidio case and desktop dock that I loved.

I bought a Seidio case for my Droid Incredible hoping they would make a desktop dock for it but they changed their minds about the dock.

I'm definitely a big fan of their cases, clips and docks. We have 3 Incredibles and an Incredible 2 with Seidio cases.

I haven't bought one yet for my Nexus but I would definitely be there if they came out with a desktop dock as well as a car dock that utilized the pin connectors.

I currently have the incipio silicrylic case on my Nexus. If ANYONE makes a dock that will work with a case of similar size (but with the pins exposed) I'll happily buy both. As in, not a totally minimal case but not an otterbox style either.

Now, I don't put much stock into this rumor, but one of our members here stated that there are no accessories that use the 3 pin contacts for the Verizon version, because they don't work on the Verizon version. Internally, they are not connected to anything. He supposedly talked with someone in Samsung to get this info.

Again, while this doesn't make much sense to me why Samsung/Google/Verizon would do such a thing for the LTE model.

The VZW hard case has the pin area cut out to be used for something!

When I go back to work Monday, I will test the pin connections and see what I find.

It seems to me that Verizon has submarined this phone from the beginning. Which makes me worry about how well it will be supported in the future?

Verizon won't be the ones who have to support it.

This has already been debunked, that guy was just trying to start something. Someone else tried putting power to it and the phone charged.

    So Cal
I have purchased Seidio cases for all of my last couple of phones (and wife's phones too). The only reason I haven't made the purchase for my new Gnex is this car dock issue. Make the dock and I'm in for 2 case/holster combos and 2 docks.

But are they really still reading our forum?

I would also like to buy a dock - possible 2 (if I could get one to work in my car).

I realize that a 3-pin dock is best, but for those of you without *any* dock at the moment, since there's no 3 pin even on the horizon, why not just get a universal $10 dock for now? Better than not having anything.

I also wonder how hard it would be to modify the GSM dock and move the contacts.
