ok, so as the title suggests, its an update -sorta on my lil bro's deathbooted evo4g

now it goes as far as playing the stock boot-animation sound but the screen still stuck on the white screen.

hboot finally no longer 6.16.1001 or whatever, now 2.16.0001
s-on through the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/407098-you-can-now-unroot-revolutionary.html thread, but the PC36IMG file for stock rom in that thread wont friggin load, ie. dont have the option to install the update n goes straight to the, i guess options mode where i can select fastboot, recovery, etc.
    any ideas?
re-downloading the 1st PC36IMG file in the above thread(not the latest)

ran a RUU for stock through fastboot to get to the state im at after going s-on, what else can i possibly do as now i can flash everything aparently but just wont finish booting:thinking:

oh, and where can i find the drivers for the 3 instances of
"Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" that pop up when the phone is booting?
also, adb drivers, can they be installed without the fon being on usb debugging as i cant boot far enough to enable that option?

Sorry, but I'm not in the loop on those drivers...

But, I think that getting stock boot animation and s-on is a huge step. That's all that is needed to get the phone replaced from sprint yes?

My only idea would be to try to re-root? But again, I haven't any real experience with deathboots. sorry.

Thanks for keeping us posted though :D

well, this is my lil bro's "stolen" evo so its not going back to sprint:p
ima flash this to metro PCS if it ever gets working, so basically this is a free evo 4g 4me:cool:.

anyhow, i DONT get the boot animation, just the sound:thinking: n it stayxs at the thc:D screen then loops.

reformatted the sd n placed the PC36IMG file on it now it says main version older update failed:eek:
anyone got a lead on a compatible pc36img for my hboot n radio version?

Just an update on my death boot evo.

I officially gave up awhile ago, I tried ever single ruu possible, tried updating nv's, radios..... to no avail so..... for me, I haven't seen another solution, the death boot for my phone is all I have:(
