Deciding on a tablet

Is now a good time to decide on a buying a tablet?

any summer releases of some tablet that will step the game up?

I need a tablet that runs honeycomb, just wifi because wont I be able to tether my phone to a tablet?

I am thinking motorola xoom as of now...any advice?
