Help Default G Mail App

Just noticed that the default G Mail app does not have the feature to select e mail address from the contact book.

Is this feature missing or do I have to configure this.

Any assistance would be greatly appreaciated

dont u sync ur address book with ur gmail contacts?

Yes you are correct Shivram100. I do not sync my address book to google contacts either but I use Companio Link/Deja Office to go from outlook direct to Deja office which is set up in the background to populate the android contacts ("My Phone") account.

To email a single ricipient I go to the contact screen first and tap the email which is a hyperlink. it will pop up asking if you want to Email or Gmail (assuming no other client is on your phone).

Yes is it is a bit stunted. Comes from assuming that everyone wants to use Google for everything while some of us do not.
