My transformer arrived this morning and aside from a minor issue with the mail app, I'm loving it so far.

I've played about with the settings and nothig jumps out at me. Would I be correct in assuming the default mail app doesn't support push via gmail? Everything is (or appears to be) configured correctly, yet emails are only arriving on the tablet at set intervals, not when they're delivered.

I can use K9 or even the gmail app itself, but I really like the default mail widget on the home screen.

If the accounts are IMAP accounts, they should push. If they are setup as POP3, then they will poll.

That's what I though, however the server name it's using is imap.gmail.com, it's configured exactly the same as K9 on my handset and the transformer will only receive mails if I turn on autosync and set the sync schedule manually :\

I found this which seems to suggest it's an issue with the app.

Interesting. I don't use push mail on my tablet as I hate having everything going off at once. I only keep it on my phone. I'd be curious to see if it's only a gmail problem or all imap accounts.

    Yeah I thought it odd.

I'm much the same, I don't want my devices all going off at once, but it's sort of annoying that it doesn't work.
