    Now, after all of that..........

there are the "Civil Lawsuits" that can be tossed at you by anyone who has a pencil in their hands.
and they don't have to prove crap...
you have to hire an attorney, mortgage your house, and prove you are "innocent w/o a doubt"

talk about an upside down legal system....
"innocent until proven guilty" only works for criminals who are Sociopaths and don't care about you, or any laws that exist.

those seminars are Fast Talking, crammed with implications.... it is enough to make you want to avoid ever stepping on the streets.
if you bump someone in the deli line, and they take offense, they call the cops, and you have to fight your way out of the entanglement.

we have become a very litigious society, and it is just plumb scary.

I was going to say something about what I heard ..shoot to kill family will sue if they live stuff like that but u know

FYI - In the state of Florida, you may legally defend yourself against anyone but family or those living at your home: Cuz then it becomes "domestic violence", which has a very COMPLETELY different set of laws and the LEO's will drag you away regardless of how well you can prove your innocence. That goes double if opposite sexes are involved.

funny you bring Florida up, FL was specifically mentioned in the seminar on both issues that you mentioned.

here in Oklahoma, we have to be very careful.
we are legal to do both:
    1. open carry w/o a license
    2. CC with a license.
    3. CC within a school ( effective just last month I think )
    4. Teachers in schools are now permitted to CC, and the town of "Okay, OK" has signs on the school campus. "Warning, our teachers carry guns".

but, with the license, you are held to a higher standard than the guy who open carries w/o a license.
    figure that one out...

now, the seminars all told us, that with open carry, you are the victim more than not. the thugs see you with it on your hip, they split up and one of them gets behind you and grabs it, bang, you are the one that is dead.

But, you can NOT carry a weapon inside any Federal Building, or onto their parking lots. That means you can't drive to work with CC if you work at a Federal facility. We went over that law last night very deep, I personally asked about it to verify what they said also meant a Post Office... yes it does...

you park on the opposite side of the street, lock your CC in the car and leave it there.

    My answer.... no.

Lets say some psyco b**** is going full Honey Badger on yo a** and you pop her in the guts to send a message. How would you feel if you later discovered that she flipped into crazy mode because of a pregnacy induced hormone trip and your "message" ended up baking her bun in the oven?

Like you said, it looks bad for a guy to hit a girl, so unless it comes down to a life or death situation, just man up and take it. I personally enjoy a good beating now and then :p

All I have to say about that situation is that, it isn't an excuse. She is still an adult as an adult we are supposed to behave a certain way.( some reason this senerio takes place in a bar and the guy is enjoying his drink country music is playing and drunk girls handle rejection like we do..)

Im not saying that million to one scenario is the only reason to not hit a girl/woman. The main reason to not hit a female is that its something that, in my mind, only weak men would do. You wouldn't punch a todler for throwing a tantrum, would you? Unless you are a child fighting a much bigger girl, or are an average Joe fighting a kickboxer, i see no reason to hit a female. If you are weak, and don't mind admitting that you cant handle a girl without going to blows, then go to town.

Anyway, that's all i will say on the matter. This seems like a topic that could get a bit heated, and im not looking to start a fight my second day on the forums.

Ladies can have as strong as kung fu as men, and size doesn't matter.

And as for teachers with concealed carry packing heat, that certainly doesn't happen here. But on the other hand it's perfectly OK to practice with your nunchaku in public, do that in the UK and you'd be looking at prison, like if you were found carrying a firearm.

Defense is defense. you may feel women need protection from themselves and their bad choices for attacking other human beings. But how I see it sometimes let adults be adults women in western society don't need knights of old they make their own choices and must deal with consequences. I noticed you used shaming tactics saying one must be weak to hit a woman. Why must we be weak?

I simply stated my opinion. If you disagree, that is your right to do so. Yes, women can be tough, and may very well know how to fight. That's why I made the caveat about fighters. If she is a trained fighter, then the gloves are off (pun intended). If she's not, then men should be able to handle themselves without throwing hands at women. Men and women are not created equal. Men are the stronger (physically) sex.

The reason I refer to men hitting women as weak is because that's how I view them. The reason a man hits a woman is, and I reiterate that this is my opinion:
    a) he's insecure and has to prove that he's stronger.
    b) he's mentally weak and can't figure out another way to de-escalate the situation.
    c) he's doesn't have the self control to refrain from punching babies.
or d) he's physically weak and can't defend himself without hitting.

That's how I feel about it, and I have absolutely no respect for a man that hits women, regardless of how much they "deserved" it.

I will disclaim that I do not, however, feel that women get a free pass to assault men either. I have personally hauled a woman to adult daycare in handcuffs for beating her husband with a TV remote.

  14. These are times where there is no such thing as a 'weaker' sex. I feel it falls under accountability if it's a fair fight. Obviously there is a physical size difference to factor in, as you stated. Beating anybody, just simply for showing dominance, yes is wrong. Touchy subject, I know. But my opinion? Some people never learn how to control outwardly aggressive behavior until they get a good beating.... Gender aside. We're animals, we fight. We learn from it.

I started this thread.. NOT about women abuse.

it is about how some women think.. because they have boobs..
it is a free pass to beat on men.

    if allowed to...
a 120 lb woman.. can do a lot of damage to a 200+ lb man..

That's a bit of a conflicting statement. And you use stereotypes to attempt to back up your previous arguments.

Let me ask you something: what would you do if you actually ended up in a life-or-death situation, such as a woman intending to kill you? What if you couldn't talk or walk your way out of the situation? What then?

Would you still try to preserve your pride (as not proclaiming yourself as being a "weak" man) at the cost of your life?

Suppose a man is in his recliner watching TV.
    Crash! window/door broken/down.... in walks a female brandishing a long steak knife/Wood Axe/Shotgun/etc....

are you going to just sit there and tell her no?

As I stated in a previous post, a life or death situation is different. Yes, there are obviously exceptions to the rule, and I'm not going spell out every one of them. My bottom line is that I'm not one of those that believes men and women are not the same. Women are by nature at an automatic disadvantage in a physical altercation. My wife is pretty tough and would probably dish a sound beating to another woman. However, I would never have to resort to hitting to be able to subdue her. Saying that men are the physically stronger sex is not a stereotype. It's a fact of nature. It is engrained in our human DNA that men are the hunter/protectors. A male's muscle composition is more dense than a female's, so even in a weight balanced fight, in MOST cases, the male has the advantage.

Also, what do you see as conflicting?

Because you condemn a man for defending himself against a woman, even if the circumstances were beyond his control. And as mentioned by someone earlier, women as well as men also need to be held accountable for their actions. There's always two sides to every story.

Physical differences between genders aren't as important in this modern age either, thanks to technology. As they say, "The bigger they are, the harder they fall."

I'm also done with this conversation. It's just going in circles, at this point.

a man who keeps beating on a woman.. is low.

but a few hits to stop a woman.. (appropriate for the size of threat).
that has lost control and will NOT stop.

    fine.. I am 6ft and 205lbs...
what if another dude that is 5.3ft and 100lbs.. comes at me?
    what should I do??
