I have just installed RupiManager on my Galaxy S8 and I need to change some of the default directories.

At present RupiManager assumes that the files are stored on the phone memory and the directories start with storage/emulated/0/..........

On my phone the files are all stored on the sdcard. How do I alter the directory to point it to the sdcard?

The directory the software points to is on the main phone memory and is defines as

    storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.sygic.aura/

I wish to set up the director below on the sdcard

    Android/data/com.sygic.aura/

There is an option to change the directory and I have been able to make changes but these changes were not recognised.

The directory tree on the sdcard is the same as that for the internal memory.

The problem is that I do not know how to specify a directory on my android phone's sdcard.

Do I simple change "storage/emulated/0" to "sdcard"
    ........
    or what?

I'm sorry I did not make myself clear.

    Well, if the default is:
    storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.sygic.aura/
and you want to change it to:
    Android/data/com.sygic.aura/
that directory doesn't exist so it's not surprising the app refuses to accept that as a new default save directory.
To re-direct to your microSD card, it's probably more like:
    storage/extSdCard/Android/data/com.sygic.aura/
or something similar, the issue being file/folder paths are specific. You do need to include the entire path, not just parts of it Also, if you're manually typing it in without actually knowing the actual location of the target folder on your card, if the app's Settings menu has an integral file manager/editor you'd be better off just using that to actually locate the proper folder you want instead of just making one up.

Oh, and just to be sure, confirm that 'com.sygic.aura' folder exists in that 'data' folder on your microSD card. It should already be there but if not that would be a part of the problem. In your Apps folder use the 'My Files' app, a basic file manager, just to check it is there.
(... also, when you use My Files towards the top in an info bar it will show the exact directory path of whatever folder you're viewing)

Many thanks for the very helpful reply.

All the folders exist on the sdcard and if I manually copy the rupi and bmp files into the relevant folder then sygic recognises the POIs and imports them successfully. What I would like to do (laziness on my part) is to have Rupi manager export then directly into the relevant sygic folder. To do this I need to direct Rupimanager to this folder so I nee the exact definition of the directory on the sdcard
