    Hi,

I have had my desire since friday and have had no problems with it at all, in fact it is my favorite phone.

However today the incoming sms messages i was receiving were being delayed by almost two hours and it has happened several times throughout the day.

I am on the orange network and the coverage in my area is excellent.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I would call Orange, sounds more like a problem on their end.

Just to let you know we have a new coverage checker

    http://coverage.orange.co.uk/

This will show coverage by place/postcode as a transparent overlay over a google map. There is also a text only version:

    http://search.orange.co.uk/all?tab=accessiblecoverage

Coverage is approximated outdoor coverage based on natural geographical information, i.e we cant say it will work in a lead lined room behind a steel warehouse :p

    Regards

I can see the Orange mast from my house, get excellent signal outside, yet inside nothing. All other networks are fine.

Just another reason I left Orange.

    Apologies for the thread necro.

I'm experiencing an identical problem. Had the Desire for a few weeks, on Orange (never had a problem with any other phone on Orange) and get delays on incoming SMS's, and a lot of outgoing fail multiple times.

Did the OP find a fix, or anyone know anything about this at all? My next step is to call Orange but posted about it here first just in case anyone had any insight.

    Thanks.
