Help Delete 800 bookmarks on droid at same time?!? Help!

I ruined my droid!!

I stupidly imported my firefox bookmarks into the droid and didnt realize that there would not be folders.

So now i have 800+ bookmarks in my droid!!!

How do i delete them all. I realized i dont need all my bookmarks on the droid.

Please. Help!

Wow

I don't know a way to Batch delete them so I suppose a factory reset may be your Fastest bet.

Anyone else have any more suggestions though?

Maybe try and find the bookmark folder in astro and batch delete from there

did you try going in the browser settings -> advance setting -> reset to default?

I tried restoring to default. it doesnt wipe the bookmarks!

I tried going into the phone using a file explorer and navigating to ect/bookmarks.xml but i cant edit or delete the file.

Is there any way to edit files on the phone like the bookmarks.xml file?

You can try this.

settings > applications> manage applications > menu > filter > all >browser


clear data and cache

might clear bookmarks no idea

I love finding old answers...

I just tried importing my bookmarks (with MyBookmarks, free on android market) into Dolphin. I have 1600 bookmarks. Yes, I know...

Anyhow, I didn't find them. Tried 3 times to re-import them. No good. Then I remembered that they probably showed in the stock browser. BINGO! Almost 5000 bookmarks.

You saved me a TON of 'select - delete - confirm deletion.' Thanks!

Now I'm off to pare down my bookmarks and try it again.

Yeah its great.

To give you guys an update....

I use foxmarks in my firefox to sync ALL my bookmarks between my desktop and laptop.

I love it.

Furthermore... to fix the issue of bookmarks on my Android...

I just bookmarked the Foxmarks page on my android. So now if i need to access a bookmark off my desktop... i just go to the foxmarks website on my android. That works wonderfullyyyyy.
