    Long story short.

    *Robert Obtains Vibrant.*
    Me: "Sweet!"
*Robert learns of rooting and roots his vibrant."
    Me: "Kickass!"
*Robert finds root only app that deletes bloatware.*
    Me: "WOO-HOO!"
*Robert carelessly starts deleting bloatware; noting some apps as needed, but guessing on a few.*
    *Robert notices faster speeds!*

    .... ..... ....
*Robert finds his gmail account no longer is able to connect so half his contacts are gone, he can't change from the samsung keyboard, and can't open marketplace.*
    Me: "SHI--"
*Robert factory resets. . . .No change*
    Me: "NOOO!!!!!!!! Internet, away!"

    See my conundrum?

Robert should flash a rom that has the bloater app like trigger.
Robert can find it at edtdev.com or xda.
Robert will be very happy with no more conundrums

No such luck mate. Got the Trigger zip on my phone card, but can't run it because I can't open it. Tried clockwork but I can't open marketplace so I can't download from there and the version of ROM MANAGER that I did get says theres not internet connection so it can't flash.
(There obviously is internet since I'm using it...)

    ** GUIDE - TIPS - TRICKS ** Last Update 01/27/11 ** READ BEFORE ASKING - xda-developers

go there.. everything you need is there or is linked there.. there is a lot about rooting in there, don't skip the part about NAND backup!!!!

If you have rom manager you should be able to get into recovery mode to flash a rom.. but follow the instructions in link above if you do..

If all else fails, start reading about Odin (not the norse god) ..in any case, you are far from screwed.. there are lots of people here more knowledgable than me that will help you out..

Robert should acquire Odin. Robert should then place his phone in download mode, and flash back to stock. Robert will then be able to start from scratch.

Yep. Kyle agrees. Odin is the cure-all. So Robert should follow those direction.
