I accidentally deleted a photo yesterday that I use as my lock screen photo. It still shows up on my lock screen. Is there a way to recover this photo to my picture gallery without a recovery program? I am totally tech unsavvy and I am afraid to root my phone. Thanks!

    Hi

You didn't say what make etc. of phone you have. On my note 2 the wallpaper is saved in the folder

    /data/data/com.sec.android.gallery3d/lockscreen_wallpaper.jpg

This however is only accessible with root access (with root you would not need a recovery program). Assuming its in a similar location on your phone, if you change your lockscreen you may loose it permanently.

You could try using a file manager to search for "lockscreen" in case its not in a restricted location.

I guess you can try file recovery apps on Google Play.

I can only think about using 3rd party tools, while you can try Roger's solution firstly.
