Help Deleting Shortcuts On Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Just wondering if / how shortcuts can be removed (from left side of screen) after selecting the SHORTCUT icon on the bottom of the screen? The list of shortcuts gets very long..and I'd like to be able to remove them from the left side of the screen.

I know on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, I can swipe to the left and the shortcut is gone.

If you are referring to the recently-used-app softkey on the bottom status bar (3rd from left), there is no way of removing the app shortcuts, as it's doing what it is supposed to. The only way I know to clear the list is to reboot the tab.
