Not too far back after FroYo crept out the Verizon trapdoor I took the opportunity to reapply the base sock the 2.1.0 ROM (which started me at scratch), Rooted and S_Off'f before applying the 2.1.1 update THEN the 2.2 Froyo via an clean RUU (which, once again left me a fresh virginal 2.2 Froyo, albeit Rooted and S-Off'd)

Can one do the same again? - e.g. Can I Nanodroid backup (for safety's sake) followed by a good hard Titanium Backup, then just apply the November OTA as another RUU (forcing me to then restore all my apps etc again with Titanium),

If I do this then just restore my Titanium backup would I be pretty much at square 2 (rooted, OTA'd and all my settings pretty much back to normal, albeit with the inevitable reappearance of the dreaded Verizon fluff apps?

A week or so back my SO made the rather (almost fatal) mistake of applying the OTA for me  (ahhh, the innocence of youth!) which forced me back to restore a October based Nanodroid Backup then reapplying my latest Titanium files to get the phone relatively back to normal. So that was a quick recovery considering. :)

However I would like to get this bloody thing install one way or 'tother and doing a fresh install always seems to be recommended...

Which was going to be my next question; now, as for wiping - this include the Davlik Cache?

What stage would I be at if I do this, reload Titanium and restore the backups? Totally working phone, phone still requiring sync configs again, etc?

I rooted the Stock OTA RUU from November and added root permissions and deodxeded the entire ROM, this is the best way to go, it is exactly as if you accepted the OTA but I deodexed it meaning you can add themes to the ROM that you couldn't on a non-deodexed ROM.

anyway here is the link to the page http://androidforums.com/incredible...dexed-added-root-nov-update-any-interest.html enjoy, PM if have any question I can help ya out with.

I installed this without wipe, no problem. I did have to go back in via ADB and remove some bloatware but no big deal. I didn't need to reconfigure anything. The latest stock kernel is great too, although I have since updated the kernel to a new one based on the latest stock.

    Great on battery AND speed.
