Does it show the O2 logo when you switch the phone on?
If so it's locked to O2 and 2.2 will probably come to it in a few weeks, maybe longer. I'm on O2.

Root your phone guys and get a 2.2 ROM installed. I'm new to Android and also on o2. I rooted on Thursday and have tried 5 different 2.2 ROM's. Now have one I am happy with. It a really easy process and no waiting on o2!!

To be honest it doesn't bother me to wait. I can't see that the update's going to make a massive difference to what is already a great device? Day to day, it'll just be the same surely?
No doubt many will disagree!

You are correct there m8, there are quite a few performance boosts & additions in froyo.
I can definitely recommend it, personally i went the rooting way & glad i did.

Froyo does give you the ability to store apps on sd card, but only if the apps are coded to
