Keep getting low on space warnings so i'm in need of an idiot guide.

Have read the guide a number of times but still have questions. The ara build is not mentioned an my phone. I have a build number is that the one i need?

I have a boot number of 0.93.0001 and pvt3

So I need to download

HTC Sync, HBOOT Drivers and unrevoked 3.21.

I've gone through the FAQ and have downloaded to my computer the Goldcardtool.rar. When i right click it does not give me the option to run as admin?

Yes its the build number you need. Is it my guide you're using?

.rar files need to be "unzipped" using winrar. Its a compressed file like winzip, but better.

Ah I .rar everything. Its compression is a bit more aggressive than zip.

Although not sure if 7zip expands on that.

I just got unrar (free) off the market so I can unrar on the phone too

Ok worked the rar thing out now. Can i confirm that i only need those three files?

No, rooting alone will not simply give you more space but it will give you the springboard to do things you cant.

Flashing a custom rom with a2sd+ and partitioning your SD card is the most common. Have a look at the a2sd+ for for more of an explanation.

You need to do HTC sync, unrevoked and hboot drivers. If you have erase size 40k, you also need amonRA
