So I was surfing through the internet when I came across a page that was discussing how MIUI can be based on stock. Personally, I always thought that MIUI had to be based on AOSP or CM. I kept on reading and found out that we could use PatchROM to port MIUI to our device without having CM. Is anybody willing to try this? Linux will be required to do this. I might give it a go.

You know Android basically uses Linux.. the Linux kernel, and in a lot of ways is similar to GNU/Linux with BusyBox parts installed.

You will never be able to do more then modify an already packaged ROM if you don't get into Linux. Just saying.
