So seems I have developer options in my phone that I did not do. Files have slowly started disappearing. Started logging and all of my apps are on hold.. permissions extend way beyond what they should... I have a feeling it was my bf who did this but all I want to know is how to get my phone and privacy back?? Please help?

Developer options can just be turned off, and doesn't do anything by itself. I don't know what to make of the rest, but if you really think that something is fishy first check it hasn't been rooted (there are apps that can check this in the Play Store). If it hasn't then a factory reset will remove anything else, but obviously back all of your stuff up first (don't make assumptions about what's backed up, make sure). And if you think your phone has been compromised you should probably change your account passwords as well. Do these in the right order: do not change your Google password and then reset the phone as you will be locked out for a few days as a security measure. Either reset then change, or change, remove account from phone and then reset. Make sure you know your Google password (amazingly we get people who don't) or you will have major problems getting back into the phone (Google "factory reset protection" for more information).

I normally stay well away from relationship advice but if something has been done to the, and it really was your boyfriend that would make me very uneasy.

I can turn developer options off and they turn back on. I did a hard factory reset and through settings and it's still an issue. I remember my password most the time now. Lol It says spi v2 on my logger.. I've tried to root and I cant download any rooting apps it also says parental control on the logger. I see analytics all over, tracker something I'll have to go look. Whoever has complete access and control over my phone. Only way I can figure is through my imei...

Does your BF have unlocked access to your phone, out of your sight?

Not rooted "properly" implies that an attempt was made, but then you say that you tried yourself so that may not mean anything.

You can't control a phone via the IMEI. The Google account (possibly Samsung account too, if you have one) is the easiest way to access it remotely. Make sure that is secured and that nobody else has access.

Sadly most apps contain analytics (it's one of the ways developers make money, especially since so many people refuse to pay for phone apps), so in itself that might not mean anything either.

The nuclear option is to download a new set of software from Sammobile.com and reflashing the phone completely. That will overwrite any changes to the system (which a factory reset won't). Someone with more experience of Samsung should advise on the process (I'm offline in a minute).

Hi hope your doing well..i came accross this and i wanted to help you get troubleshooting to see if device has been rooted

Step 1: On Samsung devices there is a status that samsung implements to dwtect if root was implemented evwn when unrooted to do this go to "Settings>About Phone>Status" and scroll down to the oprion that says "Device Status" if it says "OFFICIAL" then the phone was not tampered with in any form of way, but if it says "CUSTOM" this means the device has been altered in some form or fashion and will not recieve any system updates

Step 2: you can ensure if you have root as well by downloading this app for samsung devices this can also tell you if your device has root access https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo

Step 3: if your phone was tampered with you can reflash the firmware back to stock using odin and i can asist you in that if you like

P.S to ever want to enable developer options samsung never has this enabled by default go to "Settings>About Phone>Build number" and tap it 5 times, if it does show as shown it in a tab named "Software Information"

    Hope this helps

Sounds like a 'ghost app' can't find them easily after installation.. Look in Settings-Apps for something like ' data.apk', 'backupdata.apk', 'emergencybackup.apk'.. And uninstall it.. But really, @Hadron 's advice, use the nuclear option and flash the stock Factory FirmWare as it'll wipe any Rooting or Root attempt done to it.. Then put a tough screenlock on it

Also has a ghost Admin... I'll install an app then I installed an app to let me know when files, apps, anything was deleted or moved and apps would be moved to inactive, icon deleted, yet the app is still on my screen and usable. Permissions completely changed. It'll kick up half if not more of my system settings as fake apps.. I found Changelog in my phone but no permission to access it. Android developer.. same.. damn why cant he just go through my phone like normal insecure bfs!!!

Your telling me... it takes screen shots on its own, camera turns on by itself, I'm pretty sure he has been able to transfer files when using my hotspot.. and I thought that wasn't possible!
