I was wondering if anybody would want to help me or teach how to make a rom.
Good luck. The guys in here who are building these ROMs have years of experience. Building a ROM isn't something you learn in a month or 2 or 3 like a lot of people think.
Developing a ROM can be a fun past-time for experienced coders but very expensive (time and money) to the novice.
Phone > brick happens more than you might think. How many new phones are you willing to buy?
Are you trying to scare me into not doing one, also, all of are devs use to be noobs too you know. I'm just trying to become better.
Aaaaand the devs here that make ROMs all have bricked phones and had to pay for new ones.
So, how much risk are you willing to take?
That's the reason because I'm asking for help, because all of you guys have the experience I don't have.
Google has a wealth of information on ROM development. That's a very good place to start.
Maybe a few of the devs here will give you a few pointers too.
You misunderstand me. I am not trying to scare, just not sure if you realize the commitment.
1. Never use your daily phone as a development tool: 1 brick and your history.
2. If you don't have a coding background this could be a painful way to learn.
This is not my daily phone, I use my nexus s most of my time. It isn't even activated.
And I do know a little coding
The best advice I can give you is read, read, read, and when you think you know what you're doing, read a little more.
I wish you the best. Any devices section can always use another developer as long as they are thorough and don't do things half assed. Nothing worse than releasing mods that ruin people's phones.
Best of luck to ya. Hopefully one day I'll be running one of your ROMs in the future.
I am by no means a developer. I leave that for the super geniuses here. But maybe something to start off with would be to mod/ customize Half Ass Rom. After all, isnt that why Kouma made it?
Good suggestion Voltron!!
