How do I access the device panel as stated on the HTC Desire s manual PDF file. Trying to turn sync on, to sync music and various other files. Many thanks in advance, Willie.

The 'device panel' is the front-end window of the HTC Sync software on your computer. To use HTC Sync you first need to install it to your PC/laptop. A copy of it should be on your phone's SD card or you can download it from here. Once installed, you'll then be able to sync various files, as well as Outlook contacts and calendar events, between your computer and phone via the USB cable.

I've found it ok for media, but syncing with Outlook may cause duplications. Turn off the Outlook settings on the device panel, if you don't want this to happen.
