Help Dialing partial numbers

Say I have a phone number saved under " Random Person " with a number of 1(234)567-890

if I type 7 2 6 the dialer starts bringing up RANdom Person. If I type 567 it does not start bringing up the name " Random Person "

It seems like this should be a default action. Am I missing something simple or is my phone just glitchy?

i think the phone searches for names with the letter combo you are typing for the numbers you are typing. if you want the "Random Name" to come up either type 7 2 6 or start with the area code for that name 1 (234) 5 and it should come up. The phone will not display a search name when you start to type the number in the middle (without the area code)

I agree I think it searches the letters... Like when I'm dialing Mommy.. I hit 666, which is creepy. I'm gonna have to change it to her real name b/c my Mom is the furtherest person from the devil...

Wait but if I hit 203 (my old area code), all the 203 area code people show up...
