I just got the file from another site and manually installed it. With mods permission, I will gladly share the file and instructions.

You'll need to go a few steps to get it to work... you are 3 updates behind

They'll need to flash you up to DI07 and you'll get them after that. You'll have to set everything back up fromm scratch though.

You could flash it yourself if you feel comfortable doing that kind if thing.

Not up to date. Because off the version you are on it won't let you get the updates (can't skip from A to C in the alphabet if that makes sense). Once you get on a current version, OTAs will work fine. :)

Lunch break is over, back to work I go.

Nothing yet. I keep checking, but no dice. In the meantime, I'm stuck with 301kbps down and 7kbps up on 3G. Yup, SEVEN.

Under Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates -> Update Firmware. Tap that and it'll check for new versions.

    1. First, grab this file and place it in the root of your SD card.
    2. make sure its named update.zip and nothing else. if its named something else like update1.zip, change it to update.zip
    3. turn phone off
    4. Hold down camera, volume down and power buttons.
    5. Use volume down to select SDCard: update.zip
    6. Press Home on the capacitive buttons to select.
    7. Phone should automatically install and reboot.

Upload cap is definitely fixed. You MUST have DI07 installed for this to work.

Both our Epics were stuck on DG17. I ended up following the steps here first. You'll be starting over from scratch, like when you first got it, but with DG27. After rebooting, within a few minutes I got a message on both to update to DI07. It actually happened first, while I was trying to figure out how to get there manually.

After I accepted that and let it run, I had DI07.. So I was able to easily download the new update (DI18) to the SD card and run it. Just make sure you remember to rename it from the long file name, to just "update.zip" - the second line in the instructions.

thanks a lot, I had the file but didn't know how to install the update. i'm in LA and haven't got the update OTA. this took about a minute to do, thanks! if your on DI07 I recommend just doing it this way, its not hard, the instructions are spot on. im on an unrooted Epic
