just did a factory reset because of a framework error i kept getting, and my battery life has improved ridiculously. last atleast 3 times longer then normal?? does the amount of apps u have downloaded have to do with battery life ? i woldnt think so as long as there not running all at the same time but im not very familiar with how these phones operate.

any input would be nice so i can avoid downloading the certain apps that drain my battery life.

In short, yes, apps have everything to do with battery life.

Pulling (downloading) data can be one of the most battery intensive tasks a phone can do, and so if you have say, a twitter app that is configured to be constantly updating, or a chat app that is open and frequently polling for data, and they are running in the background, they will consume a significant amount of power.

There is no simple way to determine which apps will do this, you have to be smart about what apps you're using and how they are configured.
