Firstly, welcome to rooted community. You've just opened yourself up to a huge world of customization.

Now that you are rooted, you can doo all kinds of things to your phone, such as overclock, install custom ROMS, take screenshots, etc. Just ask about a specific subject and anyone who has rooted can help you.

First, you need to find a ROM that you like and is compatible with your build (FRG22D, FRG01B, etc)

Then download ROM manager and use it to install the rom.

    But before you do anything:
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make a backup!!!

droid-life.com has many videos on how to make backups and flash custom ROMs onto your phone.

this is what fustrates me about this... what the hails is frgg22d etc. Every thread I ever find are threads like this that simply say "be sure you do this or this" but noone really expands on it.

I have no real plan to do much as far as kernals, overclocking or anything. I rooted because it was one button and I can now wireless tether.
