Congrats and welcome home
Thats cool... You'll love it and have lots of fun. This thing is addicting!
about 6 to 10 weeks
If you're not satisfied with the 6 to 10 weeks reply (which in my opinion should be good enough), here is a 100+ post thread that could probably tell you all you wanted to know about the rebate.
BTW welcome and congrats on the Evo. You'll love it.
Make sure you keep an eye on you rebate status from time to time. Mine was halted/denied 'cause i ported my number from Alltel. I ended up having to call cust service and have them re-verify my existing number to get the process going again...
Sprint has been good to me with all of the rebates over the years. No problems ever. Can't say that all the time with some other companies.
58% for ours, but it's only been 4 weeks.
sent mine in Sept 20th...all approved from the web site..But alas.. No Check Yet..
I purposely bought my phone from Radio Shack to avoid such rebates. Plus I traded in a mint BlackBerry Bold for $130 towards my Evo.
Bought in June, got rebate in October.
I just checked status on the 4 rebates I submitted after getting Sprint service...one Evo, 2 BB Curves, and 1 Intercept. Form states they are each eligible for $100 rebate, however each one was processed for $50. Has anyone else seen this????
Got mine about 6 weeks after purchase.
Got mine right away thanks to Radio Shack.
yes i got mine!
Good thing I saw this thread. It reminded me I never got mine and I got my phone 1st day.
Rebate Center says my check has been mailed. Cool!
Ok I did do a search but I need a more specific answer from someone hopefully. So I just checked in on my rebate status which for the last month has been at the 53% mark and just got moved to the 83% mark and says its been approved so my question is about how long once they saw their rebate approved did it actually take for the check to come in the mail? I am just happy to finally see it approved because I was reading the horror stories about other people having their rebate declined for stupid stuff like postal address problems and they got a postcard in the mail and had to deal with fits of stupidity coming from Sprint customer service. Anyways so I would really appreciate if anybody has a good memory on how long it actually took for it to go from 83% to 100% and the magic words the checks in the mail.
Took 2 1/2 months for my rebate check to show up. I guess they REALLY want to be certain you are keeping the phone.
Took my fiancee 10 weeks to get hers back
finally got mines took for ever
I enquired when the check did not arrive. I got the "dog ate my homework" excuse and asked me to resubmit. I emailed a PDF of the form and Sprint store receipt. I was told they "do not accept" email submissions, and I would need to fax it or send by snail mail. The fax number rejected my transmission. So I mailed it by Certified Mail. Once again I got the "dog ate my homework." I emailed a copy of the Certified Mail receipt, with a link to the USPS proof of delivery. I received "we cannot open attachments or follow links in email. Please fax your documentation."
I believe they design policies to tire you out and hope you will forget about it. I also believe they follow a script for certain addresses that either receive a lot of rebates, or has been previously cheated out of a rebate to see if they can do it again.
Next they will dance with my sabertooth Beverly Hills lawyer.
Took about 6 weeks to get both my rebates.
Just an FYI. At least in my case, even after it was 100%, it took 2 weeks before they even physically mailed the check according to the date stamp. And of course another week before I actually received it.
Took close to 2 1/2 months to receive mine.
They like to float your rebate money so they can finance their operations.
I dont even deal with buying from Sprint anymore. The first time I sent in a MIR I got a postcard in the mail about 2 months after it was sent in denying it. Stating something to the fact that I hadnt been with Sprint long enough. I call them and asked what was going on and the rep said it was a system error and resubmitted the MIR and I eventually got it. But since that event I use other retailers to take advantage of the instant rebates. Its bull your own carrier plays games with your money like that. They sure want their money on time but dont want to pay you back for committing to them for another 2 years.
my status said that it was mailed and should be expected by 12/4...did it take as long as it said when yours was 100% ?? I'm hoping to get mine before I leave on vacation next week on Monday. I guess I was thinking they were just saying the 4th to cover any delays. (I HOPE!)
