Something that has confused me with my HTC Desire is the difference between the 'Phone' button at the bottom in the middle, and the 'People' widget?

    Thanks.

People is your contacts list and phone is your recently called/received/missed calls and also allows you to call out

That is what I thought, but oddly, the 'phone' button seems to list all my contacts as well as recent call history. It also showed all contact stored on the SIM card, despite the 'people' widget set to only show those saved on the phone. I've since deleted all contacts from my SIM card so it is easier keep track of things!

Is there a way to search on 'People' using the keypad? I can't seem to get the keypad up when in 'people'???

Filters applied in people don't affect the phone app.

In people have you tried pressing the search hard key?
