Help Difference between Voice Command and Talk

I thought I understood, but everytime I try these apps I confuse myself again.

What is the difference between the 2 of them. They are both powered by Vlingo and both seem to do the same thing? Why do they need internet access to function?

One is Samsung's own. Think the other one is Androids (not sure on that)

Anyway, needs network access to it can talk to the server that helps with the translation

Hi Guys,

Am having a wierd problem with the Voice command app. Just tried a couple of times to use this feature, but everytime the phone becomes hot and the battery falls rapidly, 10% in 15 minutes.

Had to force stop this from the application/running services and everything returns to normal.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

yeah, as far as i know, it needs some form of data connection to operate.. not sure why..in the case of google voice actions, its coz it has the voice internet search thing so i guess thats why.. still a bit dumb to need internet to search ur phone contents, i agree :p

Both are components of Samsung Voice, as can be seen if you open the Voice Command app. Command is used to give voice instructions to the handset, while Talk is a text-to-speech interpreter. Google Voice is a separate application with similar functionality.

Btw, there's normally no need to "bump" topics, especially when similar threads already exist. Forum visitors see unread topics marked bold so they're easily found, and will respond if they have something useful to contribute.

do u mean voice talk is communication with handset, command is general voice input?
