Ok, I really hate to have to ask this, but I have been gone on vacation for a few weeks and then this week trying to get un-buried at work from being on vacation. So, I am behind. I installed the 3 part GB .595 deoxed rooted version before I went on vacation and now I see .596 is out. Are there any major differences in the two and is the update path simple or does it require an sbf?

And is the OTA GB out yet?

    Thanks!

.596 IS the OTA...the differences are minimal...

    from my experience...

    - phone is noticeably smoother/better performing
    - phone is more stable...had the occasional random reboots on .595...GONE with .596
    - Quadrant scores are slightly lower (couple hundred points) despite the increase in real world performance

to be honest those are about the only things ive noticed lol

    Metfanant,

    Thanks fro the update.

Well, had to carry the kids to the beach and then Disney World. Doing that, we are running around 100 mph and didn't even have time to pull my X out of the holder :)

yup...596 was the first ROM that i have ever flashed without a wipe of any kind...im usually pretty anal about a data wipe before everything...and it has been perfect...

So, if you don't have to wipe when you upgrade from .595 to .596, then I don't have to reinstall everything...do I? That is the only thing I hate about upgrading or changing rom's sometimes, is having to get my phone back to where I like it.
