Sorry if this has been answered already, but I couldn't find it with the search. How do I set my notifications to be a different volume than ringtones? I downloaded AudioManager, and it looks like there are separate volume levels for alerts and ringer, but they seem to be linked. Right now, if I have my volume set high enough to hear incoming calls, I jump out of my seat every few minutes when I get an email or text.

Settings, sounds, ringer volume...make sure 'use incoming call volume for notifications' is not checked. That will allow you to set the volume separately for each.
