If you must ask that question, then maybe you don't need a smartphone.

Woh now, when I started off I didnt know how to add widgets either. Dont go getting all high and mighty.

But to the original poster, the manual is there for a reason, skim through it at the very least. If you cant be bothered with a manual then maybe you shouldn't bother with technology.

ha ha ... how is anything you said different from what I said?

I standby my premise. If you can't figure out how to remove a widget from the home screen, then a smartphone is really not for you. I'm not trying to be all knowing ... it's the truth.

Who are you to tell someone that a smart phone, or anything else for that matter, isn't for them? Everyone has to start somewhere. Granted they should have browsed the manual, or at most googled the answer instead of starting a thread for a basic and easily answerable question, doesn't mean that you have to be rude and denounce their technological abilities and ban them from the entire smart phone community. If anything, it's good that people without basic smart phone experience are purchasing android devices...means that it won't be going anywhere, anytime soon.
