Nothing too dramatic but it was cool for me nonetheless.

On my way to a meeting, a place I'd been before, thought I remembered how to get there, but it turns out I didn't ... was going to call the client and ask for directions but didn't have their number or the address handy (double fail) ... so I pulled over, Googled the name of the company, found their address, tapped it, fired up navigation (first time I ever used it) and was made it there with time to spare. A car mount would have been nice but I was able to use it safely while holding it in my hand. The screen was easy to read and the directions were perfect.

Just really impressed with how easy it was and how well everything worked, never having used these features before. Good stuff.

This past weekend, myself and several friends headed out to Galveston Island for a few days to celebrate the 4th. Since there were about 8 of us we took 2 cars. Starting out, traffic was very light but I wanted to check the traffic along the entire route. I'm so glad I did. Using the INC, I used Google maps with the traffic layer turned on and it showed that the main highway to the island was packed with traffic and speeds were down to a stand still.

To confirm, using the mobile web, I accessed Houston TranStar cameras and it was clear the cars were bumper to bumper in stopped traffic for the last 15miles leading out to the island. Using the same TranStar web site I checked the cameras for the lines of the Galveston-Port Bolivar ferry and it showed they were crammed packed with people heading over to the Bolivar Peninsula which is were our condo on the beach was.

I called the driver of the other car and told him about all of the traffic and I suggested an alternate route. He said that he wasn't going to drive 25 miles out of his way and insisted on using the route that we were currently on.

I, however, elected to use the longer one. Well, needless to say, when they finally arrived at the condo 1.5 hrs behind us, we had already claimed the best bedrooms, unpacked, showered, and were enjoying a few cold beverages. :D

I used the Navi on mine for the first time yesterday... worked flawlessly... better than Navigon on my iPhone when I had it.

I was selling my old car that doesn't have navigation, and wasn't entirely sure where I was going to deliver the car to the buyer... but the robot lady in the Inc lead me there with no issue.

    HEH?

Don't forget (and for those that don't know) that you can also speak: "Map of ***" and it'll show you nearby locations of what you're looking for on the maps. If you tap on what shows up, you'll get some additional details and you can navigate there by clicking on the tab that has the sign with the arrow in it.

I used Google Navigation on my DInc other week to find a Subway shop for lunch when I visited the beach. Not only were directions clear and easy to follow, it showed me a photo of the Subway shop upon arrival to confirm I was at the correct spot!
I was a big fan of Verizon Navigation when I had my LG Dare, but Google Navigation just steps it up a level.

The free/included turn by turn navigation is so handy and cool it makes me cry. Well, almost. It would be one of my top picks for best app on the phone.

I had the same experience. I had my Incredible and the navi saved me. I was in Miami at the Winter Music Conference. On my way home and they shut down a section of i-95, ended up on some random street, The incredible guided me home :)

Awesome. I dont have a car mount either, so when I use navigation I like to put my phone in the dash right in front of my speedometer. Only problem with that is that I cant keep it plugged in the car charger.

I love it. My Omnia took like 5+ minutes to acquire satellites. My Garmin takes a minute but my Dinc only takes a few seconds and the routers are better. Also no more stupid voice that says "RECALCULATING!"

I just wish we could upgrade the voice from a creepy cyborg to a hot sexy chick. :D

The DrInc is FAR better than my previous Behold 2. The gps took forever to acquire, and lost signal every 30 seconds.
