    Welcome to our AndriodForums :).

I'm guessing you're looking to backup these items? (the DMCA copyright protected items won't be in readable (in plaintext))

Mine are in the /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.amazon.kindle directory path.

Hi. No I want to read non kindle standard books using my kindle app. Have to put them into that directory. Wasn't a problem on my S5

Didn't think the Kindle app will read non kindle format books...

Aldiko , Universal, Moon+ or one of the many other readers may e more appropriate

Is Data Storage Access enabled in the Kindle app settings?

If yes and the books still aren't readable, you can email the books to your Kindle email address (you'll find it I'm settings just above the data storage option) and they'll appear in your Kindle library. You'll need to use the email address registered to your Amazon account as the Sending address though.

E mailing to Kindle has done the trick. Many thanks
