I have AT&T as a carrier, and they automatically upload the phone with some DirectTV crap. I've gone in and disabled it from the settings menu, but I still have a popup banner advertisement on the lock screen (that never goes away) and a small icon on the top left that it's running. Does anyone know how to completely remove this?

    The Dog Pound.
On the popups, open them and there is a setting that disables it.

Did you also go into the running apps list and disable it there?

Ah I found it. There are two Direct TV apps, and one of them is only listed under system apps. Here's how I did it, in case anyone else needs assistance.

Settings > Device > Applications > Application Manager > Click on "More" at the top right > Show System Apps > Scroll down to Direct TV and disable both apps.
