I have Nexus 5 running stock Android 6.0.1. The locked screen shows a camera icon in bottom right corner. I understand that it was provided for convenience but it has turned out to be a headache. My kids grab my phone and take hundreds of photos every day and it's become a pain to delete those photos. Also, it does not make sense to allow unauthorized access to user's camera (if the user has enable screen lock).
I checked multiple threads similar to this one and can conclude that there is no way we can disable or remove the camera shortcut. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Could someone suggest an app that might help remove this shortcut?
Thanks,
Nik
