Frozen Google Apps keep stopping. Yes I realize it's a contradiction in terms.

I have a rooted stylo 3 plus with Titanium Backup installed. I've frozen Gmail, Google books and other Google Apps but I keep getting notifications that "Google ***** has stopped working" how can it stop when it's not even supposed to enabled?

This is probably down to the fact that something else is trying to run the apps you have disabled. Remember that a lot of system apps are just that, core to the operating system, so somewhere something will at some point call for 1 or more of these apps to function and as you have it disabled you will no doubt be presented with an error.

The only thing I know you could try is to look at the default apps settings and make sure nothing is set to try and open anything you have disabled. Of course as i said above; this will probably not work so well.

It's not a good idea to freeze GMail, things Like Google Books - probably OK, but, what's the point in freezing (disabling) them. If you're rooted, you could probably delete them, which should have the same effect as installing a custom ROM but not the GApps (Google apps).

If it's a rooted device with a custom ROM, just install the Gapps components you actually want to use. Like if you don't need Gmail, or Google Books. Gapps for ROMs is usually a complete suite of all Google apps, but you should be able to remove Books etc.

Open up De elopers Options and cind then disable the setting that allows toast messages for all ANR (apps not running).

If this is not it, there are third party apps that can tell you what app is posting the toast message(s).
