    Hi,

Does anybody know of a way to disable the annoying numerical lockscreen that appears when you enable outlook on the Desire HD. I wouldn't mind if I could use a pattern unlock but the option is disabled and I'm forced to use the numerical lock screen, there must be some way to override this

    Thanks for any help

Sounds like remote data wipe is enabled within ActiveSync, which requires numeric passcodes to validate you when you unlock the device.

Just to clarify, you don't "enable Outlook" on your device. Outlook is a Windows desktop client.

In any case, you can't disable/change the security policy as long as you're attached to an Exchange server with the policy.

If you don't want the PIN lockscreen on your device, look into the other Exchange clients out there. IIRC the PIN applies to the app and not the entire device with at least some of the apps.
