Sooooooo, you don't think the graph has anything to do with the Rezound being a resounding failure as a device? Word of mouth very likely has had a significantly dampind effect on sales. I know I, for one, have told a hundred people how disappointing this product is. I have owned 7 Androids, and the Rezound is easily the worst.

Wow, what 7 androids have you owned? Just suprised to hear you think this is the worst, since I love this phone. (Maybe because I love the ics roms I've been running from themikmik.com...)

I'll also add that most other forums I frequent think the Rezound is still the best on Verizon right now. That's been my experience with the amazing hd screen, great reception/radios, quality build. (Tried the gnex, horrible radios, like most Samsung's... Tried the razr, don't like that pixelated pentile screen).

Now, I understand the complaints about lack of accessories, but luckily I have all I need.... But it looks like for the accessories complaint the GSIII will be the best since it'll be standard across carriers (but of course I won't try it until we see if Samsung managed to figure out how to make decent radios or not).

I really wish HTC had the same global muscle/market share as Samsung so they could have forced all carriers to carry a standard One X or One S, to multiply accessory options (instead of vzw going with the odd Incredible4G choice)...

If the Rezound was a "popular" model, you know it would be rocking ICS right now.

You know, unfortunately, I doubt that. I'm pretty new to Verizon, but seeing as their most popular phones, the RAZR series, are just now getting a soak test, it seems no matter the popularity, Verizon's process seriously hinders timely updates.

I have to disagree! I own a Razr and my wife owns a Rezound! No phone that was released in the last 6-12 months (excluding the Nexus brand) has recieved the ICS update! Even the Droid = Verizon brand, RAZR = Motorola brand which makes the Droid Razr the headline device on VZ lineup hasn't received ICS! The SGS11 will get ICS first according to reports, RAZR, then the Rezound. I see the updates no longer than 2 weeks apart.

I like my wife's Rezound and if I didn't love my Razr so much I would be rocking the Rezound.

Who cares if it is a "popular" phone. do you like your phone? if so, great... keep it. if not, find one you like. If you are going for "popular" go get a gnex, razr, or something else.

Yah - seven (with several dupes - me being the biggest dupe). I had a T-Mob G1's, then two HTC Incredibles, two Samsung Droid Charges and now two HTC Rezounds; in each of the last six, I brought the droid in to a VZN shop and demonstrated its failures and was given a replacement. FIVE "free" replacements in 18 months. The most recent phone (my previous Rezound) never even booted up.

    What problems do I have?

Well, Apps force-close with the frequency of books closing on the last day of school.
The cursor can't be set to a specific point on a screen (editing ANYTHING is impossible).
Navigation App says I don't have any contacts with addresses.
Notification Bar disappears until I pull the battery.
Alien wallpaper suddenly appears until I pull the battery.
"Phone" app goes haywire (Watchdog shows it routinely using 90-98% of resources) until I pull the battery.
On average it requires 8 steps (E-I-G-H-T) to connect to a Bluetooth device. Or pull battery.
...and once connected, fully half of my calls are BT-dropped - and I have five different BT devices; same problem with all of five of them (including my Acura-built-in, which works reasonably well with the previous droids - and even a few business Blackberries).
Frequent loss of widgets (some temporarily - some permanently) until I pull the battery.
(Beginning to see a pattern? I pull the battery 5-10 times a day)
Screen is way, way too sensitive - hover within a quarter inch of the screen and it will act as if I actually touched the screen.
Extraordinarily soft screen - I scratched it (somehow???) within two days of it being delivered - before I could get a screen-shield. Who cares. No big deal, but, really. Cheeeeeeeeap!
    Voicemail number resets sporadically.
Arcane screenshot process. Tell me YOU know how to do it - and CAN do it.
Phone temperature runs burningly hot. I put my phone in the freezer now when I get home -(but it melts the Haags!)

And lastly, the call quality is BY FAR the worst of any of the 20 or so cellphones I've owned. I travel a bit overseas and buy cheap "disposables" each time - and NONE of them has ever received the universal, "Where ARE you? In a pipe? I can't hear a word you're saying" reaction I get using the Rezound.

HTC? Never again. Samsung? Never again. Droid? Never say never, but I won't be burned by listening to the phanboys on this site any more. I'll try i- and hope for better results.

you just have some bad luck with phones? I had my Incredible for 2 years before I upgraded to the Rezound. Only problem I had was the botched update that I had to wait a month or two for a fix. My only major complaint about the Rezound is the WiFi tethering is all ****ed up. That will be addressed in the ICS update. I would take these problems any day over the lying and bullshit Apple puts their customers through.

Good luck with your i-turd. Haha you'll be begging for android.

I keep seeing more people getting the Rezound every day. There were 218 million i*****s sold. I think of Forrest Gump "Captain Dan bought us some stock in this fruit company..." It is mostly hype, but very beloved hype and their docks and interchangeale platform is the key. Windows 8 and ICS/JB will change that paradigm.

The specs when this phone came out still are not beat for overall quality and expandability. Keep going HTC!
Only wireless 11ac will make this phone obsolete any time soon. [Upgrade from wireless n.] The processor and radios, yes radios, are some of the best.

So - oh, wait, I get it, you just listen to muzak on your zound. There are lots of people who buy a "smart" phone who really only need a "feature" phone; see 'em every day; texting and boppin' with their earbuds - and that's all they do. And for you, the zound probably works just fine. But as soon as you download a few apps, thhhhhe zoooooooounnnnd slooooooowwwwws doooooooowwwwn aaaaaaannnnnd finaaaaaaaaaalllllllly haaaaaaaaaalts.

Fwiw Moto has BY FAR the best radios hands down. The best call quality of any phone (generally speaking of course)

I'm sorry you have had such bad experiences. Honestly it sounds like you have had really bad luck. I say that cause there are simply too many of us that have had ZERO problems (me included for the most part).

I am only keeping around 130 apps on my phone these days (down from having 320 at one time. Yes, 320 apps installed at one time). The only slow down I ever noticed was when 50 or so needed to update at one time. That ****ed! LOL

But hey, if the iphone is right for you then cheers. Check out iSource: #1 Source for iPad, iPhone, iPod, Mac and Apple TV

Everyone is entitled to make their own minds up on what phone is right for them. And have their decisions respected, and not be attacked for it. :)
People will have different phones and different reasons for liking or hating said phones. That is their right.

And this isn't directed at anyone in particular but there will be NO name calling/insults/ or personal attacks at Android Forums. This policy is strictly enforced.

    Thanks for understanding

    Wow, has this heated up.

    FWIW, my rezound is awesome.

I am a very heavy user; business and personal and education (ok, I also play angry birds, chess and go). I use the phone about 3-4 hours per day for calls internationally, download documents, spreadsheets, make 3+ way conference calls, use the alarm, use the GPS, study languages, read download articles, get news reports, have several email accounts, text, take pictures, send pictures, get news, weather reports, make reservations, etc. Oh yes I also listen to music.

This is the best phone I have ever had! However I realize that YMMV.

If I had as many problems with my phone as some others have I would just switch phones instead of sitting here bashing it. But whatever gets a person through the night, right.

    I can do it.

I press the power button and quickly press the home button.

Afterward (when the volume is turned on) i hear the camera click audio and a message tells me the image was sent to the gallery.

No offense, I realize I'm not exactly high up the Android forums hierarchy or anything... but... all those phone makes/models/problems you listed do have just one exact thing in common beyond the carrier...

Maybe you just have really strong thumbs??

Lol, there is no freakin way that you went through that many phones and had that many problems without doing something to them, or you are just one of those people that cannot be satisfied no matter what. Either that, or you are just an Apple fan wanting to come here and stir up some drama or just plain ol bash.

My Razr died (stuck in boot mode... never to be seen again). I got the Zound. Enjoying it quite a bit so far. Added weight not too bad. Screen is sweet. Music is seriously sweet. I do agree that Moto seems to make a better radio, but I can deal. I really hate MotoBlur and prefer Sense (loved the Incredible for a long time).

All that said... I was curious to find the Rezound not present on the HTC support center. I'm there to download software because I'm unable to connect my Zound to my PC (XP).

Well, he puts his phone in the freezer. Maybe he just doesn't know to dunk it in water first, THEN in the geezer. Some people just weren't meant to handle technology. iPhone is definitely the right choice for a guy like that.

HTC is either getting sick of all the ICS complaints, or is forwarding all tech support to VZW to see if THEY can explain why ICS is so long in waiting.
