Support Display and Battery Usage

    is there anything I can do (besides adjust brightness and timeout) to make the display use less battery power?

    Yea, not turn it on at all.

    Honestly though, the display will always be the biggest user. I'm glad to get 8+ hours of moderately heavy use. Light use is over 1 day which is what most smartphones are.

    yes, root your phone (or learn about it, and install a custom AOSP rom and/or kernel)

    i consistently get 48 hrs out of one battery (not extended, moderate use, texting, email, occaisional call, internet, apps etc. almost always on wifi tho.

    thats just me. i think the main thing is to undervolt! that has made a huge difference for me---

    just my 2cents
