Help displaying photos over HDMI

Has anyone else been unable to display photos over HDMI onto a TV after the FroYo update? My videos play fine on the TV, but my photos don't.

I'm on the rooted OTA deodexed ROM and am running the new netarchy-toastmod kernal, so I don't know for sure if it's a FroYo issue or an issue with my root.

Oh, and I'm a n00B to this, so even though I was able to figure out how to root, install the ROM, radio, and custom kernal, I'm still a little hazy on how each of those could have affected this issue.
