    HI,
I have an Eris that's a POS, at least as far as syncing to Outlook for my work calendar but especially emails. The Verizon store is willing to get me an Incredible and was wondering how well it plays with Outlook (specifically receiving/sending emails), through a Pop3 server?

It sync's perfectly. I use it for work for e-mail, calendar, and contacts with no trouble at all.

works best with Exchane abut also works with desktop Outlook

I had the Eris, and I got the Inc soon after it came out. It is so much better. The Eris sucked. I've never looked back.

My phone syncs well with Exchange. I get them about a half second or so before outlook on my desktop.

Same, except I got it a couple months ago. Far and away a better phone, no question.

Just switched from Eris to DInc. Used exchange for both and never had a problem. Never tried it with pop. However, in all other regards the DInc is and away superior.

How are you syncing to Outlook? The new HTC Sync software doesn't work.

I was unable to sync my calendar through exchange. I kept getting a time out error. I was forced to purchase Touchdown for keeping the calendar. Verizon credited me the $20.00 for the purchase.

I have 4 pop3 email accounts on my Incredible and they all work great. They do not however sync with Outlook. (If I reply to an email on my phone it will not show in Outlook and vice-versa) The HTC software works great for syncing calendar and contacts with Outlook.

You know what an Eris is good for? Charging an extra battery for the Incredible.

Great to hear. My mom just got a Droid X a few weeks ago and I'm assuming it also integrates with Outlook. She lives 4 states away so it's hard to give her instructions over the phone. When I'm home visiting for Christmas I'm going to hopefully get her phone set up and synced like a champ!
