OK maybe a dumb question. I have been running the CM7 Test build since it came out. It has been working great. Very stable. Is there an update to this that I should flash?

Which "test build" are you using? Technically there's a new test build just about every night. I'm on CM7.1 RC right now, it came out about a week ago.

I think BW is on Phiremod test build, which is a nightly build.

CM7.0.1 RC1 is newer and available thru Rom Manager. I see RC2 hasn't popped yet. :D

If you are on 7.1 RC1 then there hasn't been a new RC since then but there is a new nightly released nearly everyday.

I have a dumb question and I am very new at this, I tried to flash cm 7 , the one i downloaded was called supersonic i think. The nook aborted the install, is there a certain cm7 download for the nook, where can I find the correct version?

    Thanks in advance.

When you're downloading CM7 make sure you get one that says 'Encore' beside it. There is a CM7 build for many different devices, you have to make sure and get one for the right device. On that page the Nook is referred to as the Encore.

CM7 Test? You mean Phiremod Test? That's getting pretty old, especially for someone who likes to try new roms. :D

I usually check the reviews in Rom Manager and never install a brand new nightly and only go for builds with 5 stars and at least 3 reviews. I think I'm running nightly 123 now (with 0630 kernel), b/c people were commenting how fast it was.

7.1 RC1 is a good build too. I just see no reason to run anything older than that if you are comfortable with flashing.

Make sure you backup your rom, then format system, cache and dalvik cache, flash the rom, flash Google apps and if you feel you need the OC kernel, flash that as well. (gapps 2nd or last, doesn't matter as long as the rom is first). First reboot will take about 4 or 5 minutes, just ignore it or it'll drive you nuts with worry. :D

Can't OC, meaning what, it's not stable or numbers > 960 aren't there?

If you installed to the sd card and used the emmc kernel or vice-versa, that can cause this.

O/w you need the Nook Tools to set the max OC settings.

Sorry, meaning when I go to Nook Tweaks is says I need a newer kernal version. I downloaded the OC 0630 for emmc but it will not install. Keeps aborting so I tried the SD version and it flashed ok.

    My kernel version is 2.6.32.9

edit: Never mind my dumbass zdownloaded the wrong kernel. Downloaded the correct one and everything is good
