Help Do I need Google Go installed?

I very very rarely use Google (the app) because whenever I need to search stuff I have Google as my search engine set in any browser. I also don't use assistants of any kind.

So I disabled the Google app and installed Google Go.

But now I wonder if I can uninstall it too. Will that somehow affect the system or anything?

What is Google Go? I've never installed it on any device, and I also disable the Google app if it is installed in the first place. The phone works just fine without either (speaking as someone else who has no interest in "assistant" apps, and doesn't see the point in a search widget cluttering my homescreen - well OK, no point for me, I can see why Google want you to have it but why should I care what they want?).

As to having never installed it, well, it came installed as a thing you can just disable on my Android device.

My concern was about messing stuff if I uninstall it on a system level.

If it's OK, it's OK.

If it lets you uninstall without rooting then uninstalling shouldn't cause any problems. If you need to root to uninstall then doing so will probably interfere with your ability to receive updates. But for practical purposes disabling does just fine anyway.
