I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy SII, and so far I'm sooooo lovin it. And the screen being so big and wide, live wallpapers look uber cool!!!
But my concern is with the battery life. Do live wallpapers drain the battery or consume RAM??.
Am I stressing out my phone with the fancy graphics? It has a dual core 1.2 ghz processor and 1GB RAM. But even then I'm concerned.
    Are live wallpapers a liability?
Coz I dont wanna charge my phone constantly and overheat in the process.
    Lemme know.................much obliged!!! :)

Yes, live wallpapers tend to drain more battery versus static ones.

A well coded one usually drains about 2%, bad ones drain more.

yes live wallpaper will drain more battery life but as for stressing out your hone by running a live wallpaper as opposed to a static one, in my opinion i would say no because you have a duel core processor which should be able to handle whatever you throw at it! enjoy your phone dude!

Really.. Don't worry about it. Just use one, you have nothing to worry about at all.

Yes, live wallpapers drain the battery more. Until you open an app and leave the main UI in the background. Live wallpapers don't run on the background. When you are using apps, the battery usage of live wallpapers vs. static wallpapers are the same: zero.

My suggestion is go ahead and enjoy the live wallpapers.

I have put a live wallpaper on my Desire HD, its great and I have hardly noticed much difference in the battery drain. My take on things is do what YOU want with YOUR phone and just work around any problems
