I frequently turn on Do Not Disturb mode on and then forget to disable it when I'm ready to be interrupted again. This is an issue, because I can miss calls and texts.

What I would like to do is when I turn on Do Not Disturb mode, I would like to have the ability to choose how long it will be active for. In some cases I would want it active for 30 minutes. Sometimes an hour. Sometimes other time intervals. It doesn't appear this is possible as part of the native Android functionality, but please let me know if I'm missing something.

Is there some app that could help me set that functionality up? I have heard a lot about Tasker, but I have never used it. Would that app do solve my issue?

What android version do you have?
The reason I ask is, in my DND settings, I have the option to set a schedule:

I don't use DND, but I just looked at its settings and found that you can add your own rule:

I explored the 'time rule' option and it looked like it may let you do what you're hoping. Moto Z² Force running Oreo.
