I got a replacement from Asurion, and I noticed that this one has a dimmer display. When I have it on auto brightness, or when the brightness is turned down, I notice that the display is slighly dimmer than my old EPIC and colors are off. Whites looks especially off.

There are some aftermarket replacement LCDs and Glass / Digitizers out there. My guess might be Asurion could be using these to cut costs or cut corners with replacement devices. Just a guess. But yes there are non OEM parts out there.

I had Sprint replace my display. I'm glad I pay for TEP repairs.

sprint replaced my display last week. i got home and realized that if i wasn't looking straight at the phone, the screen had a green tint to it and was washed out. but it looked perfect when looking straight on.

this is definitely not normal. the screens on my epic and my wife's epic are worlds apart

i'm going back for a fix this weekend.
